Winter Shares

week 4 winter share.jpg

For thousands of years, people have eaten winter vegetables. But these days, most winter produce has more frequent flyer miles than most people do. How to sort out just what vegetables are in season?

This time of year, we are sending our CSA members home with not only root vegetables like potatoes and carrots and beets and colorful radishes and winter squash, but also with alliums like onions and leeks, winter-hardy kale, and some pretty gorgeous Brussels sprouts. What's more, we send weekly emails with recipe tips and nutritional information so that our members can make the most of the value, beauty, and flavor of each week's share.
