Cilantro-Pork Sliders for Labor Day Grilling
1 pound of ground pork
1/2 bunch fresh cilantro
a piece of ginger as long as your thumb
2 cloves of garlic
salt & pepper
Mix all the ingredients together raw. (I like to freeze whole ginger before grating it finely - this eliminates the stringy bits that always seem to get left behind in the grater.) Chill in the fridge for several hours to allow the flavors to set.
Form the meat into small patties and grill pan-fry over medium-high temperature until cooked through, which will take about 3-5 minutes per side, depending on how well-done you like them.
Serve on little rolls with homemade aioli.
