Summer Vegetable Shares: Week 12

WATERMELON - It's Labor Day! 

PEPPERS - with wheat berries + aioli in chicken salad

TOMATOES - sauce for stuffed shells

BOK CHOI - with tofu + miso

BEETS - roasted with shiso + red wine vin

SWEET ONIONS - roasted with mushrooms + marsala

CARROTS - pureed coconut milk + red curry soup

ARUGULA - with toasted pine nuts, sweet onion + lemon

RADISHES - with butter salt + brown bread

LETTUCE - wrap around pork burgers

RAINBOW CARROTS - pretty crudite

KOHLRABI - grill + toss with cilantro + lime

RED RUSSIAN KALE - tenderest kale for braising

CHIOGGIA BEETS - paper-thin slices for salads

CHARD - blanched then added to quiche

MUSTARD GREENS - crock pot + ham hock 

SUMMER SQUASH - grilled then served cold with basil 

GOLD BEETS - chilled golden beet borscht

GREEN ONIONS - added to potato salad
